1975 – 78 Leeds Polytechnic specializing in Etching under Norman Webster ARCA, RWS, RSPE. Gaining BA hons (2.1)

1975 – 78 Ellingstring Youth Hostel, Masham. Appointed seasonal warden.
1978 – 79 Barden Tower, Upper Wharfedale: Custodian for the Duke of Devonshire.
1979 – 80 Head of Art, Clevedon House Preparatory School, Ilkley.
1980 – 81 Stable Door Restaurant and Gallery, Middleham, Wensleydale.
1981 – 87 Barden Tower, Upper Wharfedale (following restoration) Tenant.
Developed Art Studio and Gallery with monthly exhibitions. Restaurant, accommodation and bunkhouse.
1987 -89 The Cottage Studio, Beck Hole, Goathland and (1987) The Little Studio, Robin Hoods Bay, North Yorkshire.

2001 – present The Green Dragon Inn and Hardraw Force, Hardraw, Wensleydale. Redeveloped ancient Inn, waterfall pathways, designed heritage Centre (To open 2012)
2008 – present Nappa Hall, Nappa, Wensleydale. Restoring Grade 1 fortified Manor House.
2015 - Hardraw Force Heritage Centre opened.
2015 - Photographic tour of Sri Lanka and The Maldives.
2015 - April: New studio space opened on Paros, Greece.
